Linking GIS (geographic information systems) to urban design. This site comprises project descriptions and reports relating to: the VENUE Research Programme; adding 3D visualisation capabilities to GIS; implementing space syntax in GIS; case studies - Digital Data for Urban Design; links to VENUE publications; the original project proposal; and links to other relevant WWW information. Project dates: [1996-1998]. This was one of the successful projects in the JISC Technology Applications Programme (JTAP) Area. The project was also supported by the Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI).
