In June 2009 the Government created a new Department for Business, Innovation and Skills whose key role will be to build Britains capabilities to compete in the global economy. The Department will be created by merging the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR) Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS). During 2009 and 2010 the BERR and DIUS websites are being moved to BIS.
