Churches Together in England is a national, ecumenical umbrella body for Christian churches. Alongside a coordinating role in ecumenism and evangelism, it is also active in public and socio-political affairs, on issues such as education, healthcare, ethnic minorities, young people, inter-faith dialogue, and environmentalism and climate change. The organisation emerged in the wake of the 1987 Swanwick Declaration. Alongside its sister bodies in Ireland, Wales and Scotland, it is a member of Churches Together in Britain and Ireland (CTBI). Charity no. 1110782, company no. 5354231.
