Web-based resource which provided access to a generic electronic copyright management and rights clearance system with built-in copyright management capabilities eg usage tracking. The project arose from a recognition that copyright monitoring and publisher feedback was a vital aspect of electronic library/reserve development. This project-based site also comprises supporting information relating to: ERCOMS project and the project team; technical information; ECMS and Copyright links; and various reports including project and annual reports. Project dates: April 1996 - December 1997. This was one of the successful projects in the Electronic Short Loan Programme Area as part of the UK"s Electronic Libraries (eLib) Programme.
