The UK Web Archive does not automatically capture or store personal information, other than logging the user's IP address and session information such as the duration of the visit and the type of browser used. This is recognised by the Web server and is only used for system administration and to provide statistics, which the UK Web Archive uses to evaluate use of the site.
We do not use cookies for collecting user information
We do request contact details on our contact and nominate a site forms. All personal information about you or any other living individuals recorded on the forms will be handled in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. This means that it will be held securely and used for responding to you, internal administrative and research purposes only, and will not be passed to any other party, unless obliged by law.
